Ted Ginn Jr. will be all right but neither a Steve Smith or Desmond Howard.
If this is your idea of a failure you might rethink your statement about Desmond Howard:
Won the Heisman Trophy at the University of Michigan in 1991. Drafted in the 1st round of the 1992 NFL Draft, 4th overall. Super Bowl MVP in 1997, super bowl xxxi, while with the Green Bay Packers. Set the NFL all-time punt return yardage record for a single season in 1996 season. Played 12 seasons in the NFL for 5 teams: Washington Redskins, Jacksonville Jaguars, Packers, Oakland Raiders and Detroit Lions. Made 1 Pro Bowl in 2001.

Good question. Ginn is definitely in the Peter Warrick, Desmond Howard, Raghib Ismail mold. A burner with a slight build and questionable receiving instincts and shaky hands, Ginn will have two problems: Toughness to catch the ball in traffic and durability.
Today's receivers are big and physical. The small and sleek are rarely successful as full-time wideouts. Plus, when you look at the small burners who are successful: Steve Smith, Joey Galloway, Santana Moss, what jumps out at you is they all have super-strength for their size, something the spindly Ginn seems to lack.
Ginn will be a bust. No 1,000 seasons.

Above average but not in the Steve Smith catagory unless he adds some muscle.

he will be a great deep ball reciever, but Gonzalez is the best route runner and possesion reciever they have. I believe Ginn will be similar to Bernard berrian on the chicago bears. All of his receptions are deep passes because of his speed, but he dosen't run great routes.

I don't think he will be that good in the NFL. He sometimes is shutdown in college and if it happens in college sometimes it will happen in the NFL alot. His athleticism won't take him as far in the NFL. He will probably be in the league for some years but never a star.
