I have experienced this on a couple of machines of late. Some toolbars are actually causing problems with IE. Try downloading the new IE 7 from microsoft that should cure the problem. If not, there is nothing wrong with using firefox or slimbrowser.

Well Firefox is better , but if you want to use IE then you need the xp cd ,to re-install IE , first open control panel , then select add/remove programs , select windows components and look for the IE just put the cd in and re-install IE

keep using forefox..coz it wont show shitty messages like Internet Explorer do.
Also, using forefox means, you wont get infected with viruses and malware.That toolbar update thing sounds like a malware threat.You MUST stop using Internet Explorer.
Keep using Firefox.Have fun.

did you try updating internet explorer? what do you mean by updating toolbar? do you mean removing buttons?
