Where does the memory go when you die, if it stays then does your memory go on doing what it did in life. eg Does an architect draw better buildings that will never be built.

"Nothing is more awful than a void, nothing more present than absence."

Those who are left with the void of an absent loved one are in torment. Those who leave are in another world and we cannot know what it is like for them and we have been warned not to try to contact them. That is for our protection. Have faith in God.

If you believe in life after death you have to believe that there is no more grieving or else it would not be Paradise. So therefor the ones left behind are the ones hurting over the loss of a loved one. Those in Paradise still love us but they do not hurt because they know we will all be together again.

Thoughts exist as form in a higher realm. Individualized thoughts are either constructive or destructive.
Your physical body acts as a kind of buffer against the full impact of your emotions. Without the physical body emotions effect us in a much stronger, purer way.

Your question is interesting.

I believe you will be missed more. Because when you are reincarnated, your memories are not as strong, unless you are very intuitive. I believe your memories go with you, but you are not aware of them as memories, only as a vague or subtle feeling.

You pose questions of the living that are only known by the dead.

However, from a spiritual sense we are told that although the dead remember, the 'earthly' emotions as we experience when we are alive do not exist when we are not alive.

no matter what way you look at it, dead people don't miss people because they don't have any memory. if your an atheist, dead people just die along with their soul and memory. if you believe in heaven and hell, then if their in heaven, the Bible says they don't remember anything from earth. if your in hell, your too busy getting tortured to remember anyone.

I would say you are missed more than you miss others, because you are dead, you probably dont know anything about anyone on earth anymore.

your basically asleep until Armageddon.

When the dead rise they will think 1 sec of their life has passed and believe they we're just in a dream.
