Change the IDE cable or SATA cable that connects the motherboard and drive. Go to BIOS and put everything in default settings, Check if the jumper configuration are ok. Some hard disks need 15 pin setting rather than 16 pin settings, check which works with the motherboard.

Check if the jumper configuration on the motherboard are ok and set to default. Your Hard disk also might have a damaged Master Boot Record or some bad cluster at the begining of the platter.

The computer may not be compatable with your video card....Diffrences in interfaces ans bus speeds (speed of the slot) may vary and could be a problem....I would reccommend locating a BIOS update for the board. Many cases this will update the core chipset to the latest standards and might get it tio work on that system....

If you just added a new video card or switched it or you took it out for any reason, then your computer will mistake the graphic card as your old one or not even recognize it. You have to uninstall your old graphic card driver before you can put a new one. Since you added the vid card, reboot your computer and it should work.

The problem is that windows doesnt detect your card and is transfering video signals different from wat your video card is supposed to take. Jus reboot your windows and install your drivers.
