popular people are extroverts by nature, outgoing and social, they are what most ppl want to be, in this sense i dont think its possible to fake all these attributes if you are introverted, just be yourself, be happy with what you have and dont worry so much about being popular. Being popular comes with rumors and nasty comments, why put yourself through that?

be the inviter, and don't' wait around to be the invitee. initiate plans with people you know, some will say no, but some will say yes. Eventually you will have a big group of friends.
