I have about 50 of them. I also have about 15 of the mint containers, too. The gum ones are much smaller than the mint ones.

how about a pill box or hide a key box

These little boxes are great for so many things. I keep my straight pins in one, by my sewing machine. As others have suggested, store any number of craft items in them. Or another little craft item, is to make a small sewing kit. You can purchase the little kits for about $1.
Line the tin box with soft felt, using double stick tape. Glue doesn't always hold. then, using Little plastic baggies (very little baggies) put in a couple buttons, small, black, white or what ever.
Using small piece of flannel, add a couple needles and pins, straight and safety. and a tiny pair of scissors. Oh, yes, don't forget some thread, usually black and white, and if you really want to be helpful, thread the needles, push them thru small piece of flannel, and wrap thread around needle.
Don;t forget to either paint, cover with fabric or use polymer clay. Have fun and good luck!!

How about you try decoupaging? It's fun and you can make a lot of decorative little containers for just about any tiny little finding. You can give them away to guests that spend the night with something personal inside. Or give them as little gifts at christmas or birthdays.

You can use them to keep beads or buttons in, or for any other small craft items you may have. Just put a label on the outside or write in a permanent marker what you've got in there. I've got tictac boxes that I keep all of my jewelry beads in, they work great because once you remove the label the box is clear and you can see exactly what you're looking for.

We in the polymer clay community "cover" them with polymer clay (both the larger and the smaller tins)... or you can simply add polymer clay or other embellishments to them (plain or painted or decoupaged, or whatever), or can cover completly with polymer then add non-polymer items.

To see lots of examples, get lessons, and also get more ideas for what you could put in them or use them for, check out this page at my site:

Cover them with rhinestones or beads, or paint them.

Use them as pill boxes or change holders.

Put one by your dryer to put all the "found" change in, lol.

Use them to hold little office supplies on a desk like staples or paperclips.

I hope that helped a little.

Place names of people in your household after you paint or wrap them. the names need to be on the top and then take and place a magnet on the back. This works great for notes to others in your house to be placed on the refrigerator plus you can place them in other places.

You might want to make small travel games with them like tic-tac-toe. That would make a great gift.

Use them to store craft things like sequins, or brass templates, or gel pens.
