Perhaps you should stop believing everything you see on TV.

I have lived here in the U.S. for 38 years, and have found that very few actual humans behave that way. Most are very happy with what they have - small houses, used cars, wrinkles, and a man who loves them, regardless what kind of money he makes.

And yes, you're right. Every woman I know who has fancy things has earned the money to pay for all of them on her own - in a world where women earn more than men, so they've actually had to work extra hard to get these things for themselves.

Baywatch and Nip/Tuck are fictitious, and not representative of reality in any way. Perhaps you should come here to the U.S., to see how people really live.

95% of statistics are made up on the spot.... Your whole 80% spiel ... -rolleyes-

Women are 'bitchy and spoiled' in the US because we're educated enough to realize our equality and because we're, for the most part, wealthy. (At least, according to standards held in other regions of the world.) Sorry if it angers you, kid. As for the "live in nice houses, drive big, shiny cares, getting botox treatment, wear expensive things, and all that for guys money" deal - You're just going on erroneous media info and stereotypes. Give me a break. Not everyone live in Beverly Hills, kid. Many, many women out there work normal jobs and support themselves.

what a load of generalizing crap.
I drive a four year old, practical vehicle which I paid for myself.
I do like a nice house. A nice old, house, which I've fixed up myself.
Botox? never. and I'm 41.
My clothes come from Costco and Target.
My husband and I both want our kids to have a stay at home parent, and I made less, so I was the logical choice.
No, I don't NEED a man. I supported myself for sixteen years before I met my husband. But I love him and want to stay with him.

what, no men are materialistic or greedy? sure.
try thinking before you post, you won't look so foolish.

I would say that more than a negligible amount of women in the U.S. fit the profile you've described, especially when you include other forms of reliance on men, like doing as much cleaning and running around town, even when the man works more hours. I'd say more than 50% of women rely on their man more than vice versa, but only 30% of those women still complain that they're being oppressed. That's quite a bit.

Coming from a woman, this behavior you mention is a great pet peeve of mine, personally. It seems women have a difficult time being happy with who they are so they try and find happiness in all of these other things. It's a statement that says "I'm happy because I have all of these things" when in fact, they have yet to find true happiness. A lot of this is also portrayed by media and it starts at a young age - 11/12 yrs. old or so. When the world runs out of resources and we have to downsize our lifestyles, it will be a real lesson in humility - for both sexes!

Because women can be conditioned easily. The world economy relies heavily on americans consuming and buying and the media does just that conditions American women to spend, spend, spend. Thats why divorce is important, too many men would save and invest, but divorce puts money into hands that spend. If women were told now what they were told 60 years ago, we would have the 50s women today. Any guy who has a sister here ? Who was the one who gave a damn what the parents said most of the time and who said, "but mommy said" all the time ?

Most if not all women without knowing it or couldn't care less are CONTROL freaks, and money aids greatly in this,as well as the fact they love to help and there again money has power.
