My brother has an external hard drive connected to his laptop which is connected to a router via wifi. He wants his wife to be able to have access to this hard drive via the wifi network. How does he do it?

he needs to SHARE the hard drive and enable file and print sharing in both computers. Both computers should be named differently and should have the same workgroup name (jonesfamily, etc.)

Networking can be easy, or difficult. I usually find networking to be moody. be nice to the ghosts in the machine.

Both PC's must be on the WiFi network. The PC with teh expansion drive needs to be shared such that the other PC can access the expansion drive.
