Sorry to tell you but it's not the governments fault that you cannot pay your bills.

The hourly pay rate in the United States is based off of the average amount that it takes to support onself while working. If you cannot pay your bills and you're still working, you either need to cut back on your expenses or get a better job.

The government shouldn't be held responsible for your irresponsibility with funds. And 28 isn't old.

All the govt cares about is making the richer even more rich and the poor even more poorer.. At 17 u are still young enough to learn this: don't squander ur money, don't use credit cards unless it's a dire emergency (buying a new CD or $100 jeans are not emergencies). pay ur bills on time so u don't get bad credit.. GET A COLLEGE DEGREE so u can get a decent paying job. Don't expect the govt to care if u starve..they don't... look around at the homeless and all the people that don't have food to eat, and clothes to wear.. u will find that out very quickly. BTW, if u think u have bills now..wait till u buy a house and car, etc..wait till you get really old (my age..36 lol) and then u will think u have bills.. Just what ur spending and save every dime u can ....with this economy and all the illegals that are coming in..u will need it.

This topic is a good motivator for you to do well in school so you can get a good job that is not minimum wage. Then you'll be able to keep up with your bills and have some luxuries to boot. And if you are old at 28, well then.... sheeh, well, you better get cracking because you won't be long for this world at 35.

The government does not control wages. Capitalism, supply and demand do. Your value of service also determine your wage. [I know, we ALL think we are underpaid. Won't argue that]The answer to your problem is not the government. The answer is income vs outflow. Spend less than you make. The other side of capitalism is that people are out to take your money and will entice you by any means possible. You control this by wise decisions about who, and what, your money will go to or, for. Hope this helps and God Bless!

Get another job. Cut back on your spending. Be a responsible citizen instead of blaming everything on the government. By having bills you can't pay you are contributing to the poverty in this country.

America is an amazing place full of opportunity. Take advantage of it.
