I've found that shaving more often (daily) rather than less often has worked out for me...no more ingrowns since I've been doing it that way.

There is just nothing you can do to prevent irritation, ingrown hair of the itching that happens when it starts growing back in. when you shave.

Try electrolysis, waxing (OW!) or an electric shaver that you can take in the shower with you. You'll have less irritation.

As often as you can bear it. For me, using a special shave gel (Bikini Zone's Anti-Bump Shave Gel) and a special razor (I forget the name, but they're tiny and virtually impossible to nick yourself with) help a lot in reducing irritation. I tried going back to my regular shave gel one time - big mistake!

I shave every other day and use dove body wash it helps pervent irratation also i have heard but never tried that if you put roll on deoderant over the shaved parts it will cause less irratation
