C C i tried signing up to talk talk and wot a nightmare that was! they left me wiv no internet and no foneline lol and after 3 hours of being passed from pillar to post and being put on hold i told them they could stick it where the sun doesn`t shine and the guy told me they`ll charge me £70 or so for breaking contract so i told him i`d rather do time than pay them anything lol bloody cheek!

Mines is slightly dodgy. It wont allow me to connect using the ethernet cable as it keeps saying I don't have a conection. The wireless isn't too bad though it is a hassle every time I need to connect. Example as follows

Turn on computer
Wait for it to fire up
Click on START
Goto Wireless connections
Double click
Goto wireless connection and right click
Down to properties
switch from general to Wireless Networks
Tick box to allow use with windows
Click on OK
Highlight Home Hub
Remove
OK
Double click on Wireless connections
enter the home hub No on back of home hub into computer
and again
hit Connect

and if I've been a good boy (at least I think that's what it is) then hey presto! away I go.

Quite crap really considering the technology we have today, I mean we can send a bomb thousands of miles solo, put a man on the moon???? but we can't simply connect my bloody computer.

the second number they give you is meaningless really. You'll never need to use it. People can still use your normal number. it must have something to do with BT knowing that you are using the internet for your calls. so just activate it like it says in the email - you'll notice your dial tone become more high pitched - that's when you're ready to phone over the internet. If you press the 5 button on your phone it will switch you back to your landline. But it is confusing. BT needs to simplify it big time!

my equipment has been ok but BT were about as useful as a chocolate teapot when it came to actually activating my broadband line. Not impressed with their service at all.
