Be specific. If you refer to the bible or God, add details.
No "one-liners" like: "The bible says so" or "It just ain't right". Explain yourself.
I don't want answers from people who are "for" same sex marriage, just against it.
I'm doing a research paper. This is your chance to make homophobes and nay-sayers get an intelligent opinion across.

I'm sorry, but the condition of "intelligent answer" supporting the concept that same-sex marraige is "wrong" are two mutually exclusive conditions.
Good luck, though.
I'd like to see if you come up with anything.

From the beginning of time or at least from what has been written in history, same sex passions have been natural. The way our biological functions have determined, our sex and our mines, our feelings have been altered the same as any other form of life created on this planet at birth. What is normal may not always be right or wrong, but different than intended. Feelings are not something we decide on, they are emotions that stem from a thought process from our brain that has not been completely understood. The fact that we only use a fraction of it and it's possible capabilities are phenomenal. The release of chemicals from these thoughts control glad functions that my not be of the norm. I have been told that normal is a setting on your dryer. That has been the only statement about what is normal I can not argue with. When it comes to sex and love between two people that are together for those reasons, who is or who has the right to say. Is it not Gods decision? I have not read that sex and love is wrong between two caring and consenting adults in the bible yet, but have not read it from cover to cover of any version yet. I do not think it was the way it was intended to be. I have known same sex parents who have raised perfect human beings and I feel still it is wrong and that is an opinion. Mine or anyone else, that is all it can be. What are our rights they can be changed if enough is done to do so and by the time that happens. What would those thouhgts be then, can we go back?

There isn't a problem with it. The problem is with the intolerance in this nation and in the world. I personally believe that people should have the right to do whatever they want. It's nobody's business. If someone believes that homosexuality is wrong, then they shouldn't be homosexual. Anyone using the Bible for this purpose should also study the idea of 'JUDGE NOT LEST YE BE JUDGED'. Christians are supposed to lead by example. If you think something is wrong, then don't do it. Pray for those who you think are in the wrong. But you don't make laws to force people to follow your beliefs. That's between them and God--it's their personal life. For that matter, millions of people don't believe in the Christian God. There are many other religions out there, and anyone who forgets that is a bigot. Everyone needs to be tolerant, understanding, loving and forgiving of other people and beliefs. It doesn't mean you have to follow them. To me, it should be separation of church and state. Plain and simple. This is America. You're supposed to have freedom here. Freedom FROM the religious right! If you don't like it, don't do it and don't look at it. But don't try to force others to follow your ways. What if I believe in bigamy? Can I pass laws that marrying only one person is wrong? Silly, right? Well, so are laws proclaiming that marriage is only between man and woman. Heck, if some old redneck wants to marry his truck or tractor or horse, who cares. Ok that's a little off the subject, but I think you see my point. Honestly, if gay couples want to get married and be as miserable as most of the straight couples, more power to them! :)

Sex is meant for extension of human generation, where same sex marriage is unnatural act. If all human being start doing that, there will be no human being any more after may be 60 or 70 years.
How you will accept an act as right that may finish the whole human race?

I hope you're prepared for the possibility that there are no intelligent reasons why same sex marriage is "wrong." This is probably the wrong forum to get such a response anyway, since most of us are gay. Personally, I'm not in favor of gay marriage (used to be, changed my mind), but I'm also not in favor of laws and constitutional amendments banning it. I say live and let live.

I've been asking this same question for ten years, and have never heard an intelligent answer. Just the standard two that you quoted above.
I hope you have a plan B in mind for your research paper.
Good luck to you!

I am for one is not in support of homosexuality cos I believe that it is natural for men to be with women...why should men be with men or women be with women?it is only natural as only a man's sperm can impregnate a woman's egg to create a child...it is the natural order of things...yeah gay couples can adopt but they cannot reproduce so I just find it unnatural...imagine if everyone in the world was gay...we would all die and the human race would be extinct as well as neither can men make men pregnant or women make women pregnant..if a lesbian couple were to get to have a child naturally, wouldn't one of them have to be impregnated by a donor sperm?...that to me is equals to a woman not really being 'lesbian' anymore cos a man's sperm is in her and lesbians dun have sex with men...so i just dun see the sense in it...that is my opinion...i dun discriminate homosexuals..they are humans afterall and contribute to society by working and paying tax yadda yadda...i just dun support homosexuality...i on the other hand support transexuality...better for a man to be a woman or vice versa....that is my opinion...intelligent or not to you...it is to me...anyway good luck for your research paper....
