him or his works from his fat days. I mean when they were doing the voting on the stamps, big fat elvis or young skinny elvis, young elvis won by a landslide. So im wondering why can't elvis fans handle the truth that he was an aging man who was fat and was dwindling?

well theyre not really idolizing his looks..and noone is going to idolize someone who looks like that. alot just like his music..it doesnt make his music any less good. they probly dont even care until its mentioned. im sure they still like him..its just a stupid poll.
look at the Beatles, they were very popular..and they had a severe drug problem. John even had a time where he was a bit pudgy. it may have bothered many but it didnt make them like the guys any less.

Yeah, just imagine if he had not been so succesful in his music career. Would all his fans still be idolizing some dude who died from an over-dose on his toilet?
Don't get me wrong, I know tons of musicians do drugs. All I am saying is that the generation before me idolized a drug abuser, and still do. With that being said, how can they expect their children to not do the same.
I wish they could handle that truth as well.

we all do it it other parts of our lives and other things like even our sports hero's
