I don't think Robert Downey Jr would make a good Iron Man. I think that Ed Quinn could pull it off --But I would LOVE to see Morris Chestnut play him, it would add a new contrast to the charactor and make him just so much more sexier... What do you think?

Viggo Mortensen. He's got the looks. He's got the rep for playing sensitive but tough men. He can do pretty graphic scenes with the ladies as well(A History of Violence).
Robert Downey Jr. has the rep for being a drug using drunk that would be tossing Bubba's salad in prison if he wasn't famous.
When I think of men-real mean in Hollywood-I think of him, Harrison Ford, Bruce Willis, Sean Connery, Christian Bale, Clint Eastwood, Ed Harris, Samuel Jackson, Laurence Fishburne, etc.... These are guys I'm willing to believe can kick some **** if they had to. Tom Cruise, Hugh Jackman, Robert Downey Jr. , Val Kilmer, etc...are Hollywood men. I like many of the movies they are in but, they just don't have that 1000 yard stare. I feel like I could take anyone from that last list.

I think Downey Jr is an inspired choice for Tony since Tony had his alcohol problems as well. I'm looking forward to the movie.

Which Iron Man?
The Tony Stark Iron Man: Morris may pull it off, but I'd go for Barry Lee (minor actor, but can make it believable) or Leonardo DiCaprio (he can play the rich and famous)
The Jim Rhodes Iron Man: I'd say Will Smith (just to get the fans in there) or Brian Westbrook (he has the skills to make the roll believable)

Yes Tony Stark was white, but Iron man was Black for a while (James Rhodes) covered for Tony Stark while his *** was too drunk to do his job! Lawrence Fishburne could play James Rhodes and Keanu Reeves could play TONY STARK!
