What if you were told that this life you are living has nothing to do with you? That it is about the plan God originally created for your life to glorify Him? That you need to look outside of yourself and ask God what His plan is for you today? What do you think of that concept? Could it be true? Respectful answers only.

I'll be completely honest, if god started to talk to me, I'd believe I was insane or 'Possessed" and do the complete opposite of what was told to me.

I don't believe for one second we were put on this earth to do god's will, what kind of deity would do that? It makes NO sense. We are here to be happy, do unto others and learn lessons to move on. This makes way more sense than being here for the benefit of a "benevolent" deity.

Why would a higher power put us on the earth to do his bidding, to fulfill his function or glorify him? It makes no sense to me. If this is true, then why do we trash televangleists who make it all about themselves, expecting us to glorify them and line their pockets. If this is true, then this God you speak of is no better than them. If I am in charge of something, is it to be glorified or worshipped? No, it is to get a specific job or duty done. It makes NO SENSE. A higher power, if anything, might want you to to do the right thing, but while fulfilling your own purpose. Otherwise, he's just some little kid sitting by an ant hill in the backyard, burning the ones who don't do what he wants.

No, that is unrealistic for many reasons. But we are all part of a larger system; call it the world or humanity if you want. We will die, and our experience will end forever. I try to be a useful part of this beautiful endeavor, with the time that I am given. It is a hard thing to do. Our efforts are usually negated by the powers that be.

Forever, while I respect your right to believe, I don't believe what you believe in. I live my life according to what I believe. Have a great day!

I think Hinduism will help me find unity with my surroundings.
Whether environmental, etheral, or human. As long as the curiosity lingers, I will always be searching.
