Elvis was a law enforcement badge collector and he wanted a DEA badge...so he went to the DEA and asked and the director refused him and told him "the only person who can over rule me is the president". So Elvis had his limo take him to the White House...seriously he just pulled up to the front door. A Nixon staffer who was a big Elvis fan met with Elvis decided he was sincere about why he wanted the badge and he hooked him up with Nixon. The whole meeting took 1/2 hour and was kept secret by Elvis for almost two years.
