8-12 weeks is pretty normal. If you've had 2 positive tests, you may as well break out the non-alcoholic champagne, because when I went to my first appt. with my first child, I told the doctor I had done an at home test, and she didn't even bother to run any tests! She said the test they administer is no different than the home tests, unless you insist they draw blood and do a blood test.
CONGRATULATIONS!!

regrettably, your possibilities of miscarriage are nevertheless quite extreme. about 15-20% of known pregnancies bring about miscarriage, and frequently ensue contained in the first trimester. about 15% end earlier the eighth week, and, once you may set up a heartbeat, the possibilities drop to lower than 5%. the first trimester might want to be extremely grueling consequently - and in case you upload morning sickness to the combination - that you're due for contained in the subsequent few weeks - it would want to be even extra so. I merely reached the suitable of my first trimester, and, the worries do not all end right here. What about deformations, or abnormalities? And after I supply beginning to a healthful baby, what if I drop him? What if we get in a vehicle coincidence? What if bullies in college %. on him? in case you seek for them, the worries of a mom will in no way end, so you ought to be at peace with what you've today. you're a mom already. you may't administration the suitable results of the being pregnant, as a lot as you wish you may want to, inspite of the indisputable fact that it truly is achievable to stay a contented and fulfilled existence, inspite of takes position. I wish you each of the perfect!

The OB usually wants to see you for the first time when you are 8-12 wks. Just call them and tell them how long you think you are, and they'll set you upt with an appt when they want to see you in the office. They'll check your due date on their own calculator anyways, so how far along you are could change. my due date was jan 1, my OB got Jan 4. and i'm being induced today. good luck and congrats!

Call and ask. I did not go until after 8 weeks. As long as you are seen in your first trimester, don;t worry about it. If 2 tests say positive, you are pregnant.

Call your Ob-gyn they will set up your appointment when necessary. Go out and buy the book "What to Expect When you are Expecting" if they don't give you one.
