In Rome, at the 18th of februari 1564, a few weeks before his 89th birthday. (Which was very very old at that time)

His last words were: "I give my soul back to the hand of God, my body to the earth and my possessions to my family"

He died at his home in Rome on Feb. 18, 1565 of old age (almost 90!) and a fever which was probably from exhaustion and a cold.

After going back an forth from Rome to Florence to Venice and to Ferrara, he died in Rome.

He died in Rome, but buried in Florence in church Santa Croce as it was his will.
Check wikipedia.com for Basilica di Santa Croce di Firenze. There you'll
find Michelangelo Buanorotti (his tomb).

dont know how and when he died but ive seen his tomb in Florence
