San Diego has the best weather in the continental 48 states. March will likely be 70's for the high and 50's for the lows. Slight chance of rain.

It gets rapidly hotter as you move inland from the coast.

Southern California's rainy season is pretty much over by March. You can usually expect temps in the high 60's to low 70's. Mostly clear days. I've been living in San Diego for 15 years and the Spring and Fall are the best times to visit in my opinion. The summers get kinda of crowded at the beach and then you have to deal with the unpredictable summer haze that likes to hang over Socal and block out the sun for days at a time during June and July.

It might rain a few days but chances are it will be sunny and around 72 degrees. Spring and autumn are the best visiting periods in Southern California. In LA you get to see the snowy mountains while you are sitting in your shorts at the beach ....

Just go to weather.com and you can find the averages for March, in any city. As the date approaches, the specific forecast will be available as well.

Can't really predict that far out. It could be very rainy that time of year, but so far it has been a very mild and warm winter.
