From what I can tell the American people seem to like this idea. What do you think is stopping legislatures from proposing this?

America was founded by immigrants, built on the back of immigrants,I wish she would document where it says ,America was founded by immigrants, who decided to have a child for the sake of citizenship that seems to be a bit dishonest. If the Illegals are as poor as they say why would they decide to bring a life into world when they are hardly making ends meet.America was founded by immigrants, show me where it says they all received free medial care, welfare, food stamps, free legal services, free school breakfasts, lunches, ability to use fake or stolen documents.I recall you either worked or you didn't eat.Today's illegals are only interested the entitlements.Nobody working for 5 dollars an hour can raise a child without government help

It's taking so long because legislators have to figure out how to work around the constitution. See, illegals aren't as stupid as we think, they have taken advatntage of a weakness in our constitution and used it for their own benefits. I hope something is done. If they were conceived by illegals on our land, then it should be considered illegally conceived.

I would not support it.. if they are born on this soil they are a child of this Nation... a better approach would be helping their families become productive members of society in my opinion.

I love how easy it is for some people to overlook the fact that we are talking about people and not animals or objects... is you life so bad? are you really struggling and do you honestly believe your life would be any better without illegals here? even if they were all kicked out and it improved the flow of money somehow do you think you would see one cent? granted I agree that people should enter the nation legally... at the same time realistically I can honestly say I've never met anyone who had anything other than an excuse when it came to immigration reform.

Just Barney Fife it, and nip it in the Bud, why allow Illegals to cross our borders.
If the Previously held GOP Congress has allowed so many to freely cross our borders, how many Terrorist have they allowed to cross also......Duh...
Start charging Mexico for the money the US has spent, send them a bill.

Tough call, but when you realize all the benefits that are consumed by that child, which were never meant for them to be entitled to as a result of their parents status--it's kinda hard not to be for such legislation.

I look at it is if you must draw the line, use the natural border as your starting point--where the problem begins.

Yes I would. If the mother is in this country illegally why should the child automatically become a USA citizen and benefit from its
mother BREAKING THE LAW.

I think anyone born in The United States is a citizen of this country. I do not support an amendment to change this fact.

You bet I would. Just north of the border in San Diego you can see the hospitals going broke.

I totally would. Legislatures are just scared of being called "racist", which is apparently what you are now if you oppose illegals.
