I am debt free except for the monthly bills such as electric and phone , etc... We all will have those kinds of monthly debt if we don't lice like the Amish.

I have one loan out on a piece of rental property, and my tenants pay that so basically I don't have to pay that.

Owning a home outright is such a good feeling. I couldn't imagine being one of those who are in their 50's and just NOW going to buy their first home. All those years ahead of mortgage payments would keep me up at night. I bought young and paid off before I was 40. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh life is good !!

We are not debt free but we are current on all our bills and we tithe in our church. We have an inheritance coming which will pay off all our credit cards and then we will save what's left over. We plan to start investing in real estate this year to build our wealth for our retirement.

The only bad debt we have is our credit cards, the rest is good debt like our house, our car, etc.

NOw I am. I weren't two years ago when I got a loan to get an apartment, from a not very good bank....I nearly got in trouble, but I solved it with a debt negotiation program, with a reliable company.
I finished paying that company two years ago, as I was saying and promissed never to get in debt again....well...excepting my usual bills and all...

No - I have a car loan and a mortgage. I do not, however, have any credit card debt, and my school loans are paid off!
