Big hair, tight straight-leg jeans, prairie skirts, long jackets with shoulder pads, Madonna's boy toy look, long acrylic nails with red nail polish a la Dynasty, one large earring on one side, dramatic eyeliner & lipstick, the Flash Dance look with cut sweats, leg warmers and other dance wear and Punk (The Go-Gos were cute girl punk).

OK the leggings thing is good - and hey you can wear a miniskirt over that. THEN for the top you can wear a blouse of some sort - Leave the tails out. Put a wide huge belt around your hip area and let it kind of hang. Your HAS to be big! Shoulder pads if you can find them - the bigger the better - oh and for shoes - some pumps! If you really want to go all out some lace bobby socks too.. Otherwise just go preppy - collar up - jeans tight around the ankles don't forget those bobby socks - and pumps. Oh and don't forget the shoulder pads and BIIIIGGGGG hair. I came out to CA from the east coast. My best friend who still lives in L.A. dressed that way - she was one of the original Valley Girls. It was hilarious walking down Hollywood Blvd!! Oh by the way - the guys kind of dressed like that too! Don't be surpised when you hear people going around saying Oh my Gooawwdd. Gag me with a spoon Bitchin' Psyche! oh and then there's Totally Dude! These answers are hilarious!!! Some of this I forgot about....

just watch old music videos or shows about the 80s like I love the 80s on vh1 and that will give you plenty of ideas. Basics would include leg warmers, big hair, etc but watching the shows can also tell you how to act and if there's a competition on who's the most 80s, an act would be pretty impressive.

this is the perfect time to find you some good 80's clothes ideas. the 80's are back. just go to one of your favorite stores in the mall and look at some of the clothing displays. good luck

layered colored socks, wind-breaker outfits or running suits, Velcro tennis shoes, leggings and long dress-tops. Fortunately I don't remember much more of the 80's than this!

Find some short shorts or jams (colorful shorts), slouchy socks and keds. Big hair , big beads and flourescent colors!!!
