Because the State is regulating pay based on the relative economy in Georgia. Each state has their own minimum wage and their own taxes.

Pay has nothing to do with your worth. I work a home business and make more than someone who has a Ph D and I never graduated high school.

It depends on what you do. $8.00/hour sounds like unskilled work. I have a friend who lives in Georgia; he is a computer programmer and makes $75/hour.

Those people don't have an education, there are high paying jobs on Georgia, and there is middle paying jobs, I went to a Techinical College and I make $17.00 an hour.

It depends on where you live in GA and the occupation. If someone was willing to clean your house for $5/hour or $15 /hour and the quality is the same, which one would you hire?

$8 is still more than the minimum wage.

I know of people earning minimum wage in every state in the union. Go to Indiana, for example; lots of minimum wage earners.......

I live in Ga, Um I make WAY more than that, you must be talking about McJobs or something, you have to find a real job!
