And who tells someone what they are buying as a gift anyway? She also told me that while enduring chemo therapy that she would shave her head in support. She did neither but I didn't expect her to either as she talks a good game but doesn't back up her actions. Why is this? Some desperate need for attention or acceptance??

Oh man, I had a friend like this. Talks like they're the best buddy in the world and end up always falling short.

I hate to say it, but I think it's so that they feel justified in expecting more from you.

For example, my friend said in November, that she got me the best Christmas present ever. I hadn't gotten her anything so I went out spent a bunch of money for a nice gift and on at Christmastime I gave her the gift and she said, "Oh, I didn't get you anything..." So it worked out for her, wouldn't you say?

Anyway, I'm sorry to be a bummer, but that's my best guess. You're friend wants a lot of undue attention and reward. Get better friends, hunny.

It does no longer. it really is an historic better halves tale -- and to be ideal the spoon have were given to be made from silver. the reality is that the the spoon makes extremely no change. You placed champagne in lessen case: it truly is necessary to achieve that the tale refers to Champagne -- i.e the wine from Champagne France, in spite of the undeniable fact that properly any wine made by way of technique of the Champagne attitude works the equivalent (in spite of the undeniable fact that now no longer low value copies or coca-cola). in case you positioned the bottle upright in the refrigerator door the rising bubbles create a layer of carbon dioxide on the floor of the wine that seals the bottle and therefore the bubbles are preserved -- no matter if or now no longer there's a silver (or plastic) spoon in the neck. yet to get even larger bubbles, use a reason made fizz preserver. And do you may frequently have unfinished Champagne may I advise paying for section bottles? they're first-classification even as you desire basically 3 glasses (a million.5 each)

I'm sorry to hear that you have gone through chemo therapy. I hope you are feeling better these days : ) You've pretty much answered your own question! I agree with you that she is doing this for attention and wants to be accepted.

yeah she just wants you to like her. I hate it when people do that though. I would rather you not say anything to me at all.

If I were you, I might show her how it feels. Tell her you are going to buy her a vacation to cancun for her birthday. Ok maybe that is too mean.

I think you've got it right...she just wants acceptance but can't follow through on her promises.
