i'm 17 weeks and 6 days
every snice i've been pregnant, when i lay down i see my belly moving up and down pretty fast.. this has never happened before when i was not pregnant.. or maybe i didn't notice it but is it my baby or me thats causing my belly to make these movements do any of you ladies have the same thing or know what it could be?? _________________

It's actually your pulse. I can see mine when I'm not pregnant.
The baby's pulse would not be detectable from the outside, and you have several weeks to go before the baby's movements start making your belly twitch visibly.

You may be feeling the baby moving around now but the baby is still to small to see from the outside (unless you are severely underweight). The ever-expanding uterus has probably pushed an artery or a bundle of arteries against your belly and you are seeing your pulse. Pregnancy is one of the weirdest times in your life, your body does things that make you think you are going crazy (lately I have been both hungry and nauseated at the same time, how something can smell wonderful AND horrible ...). As always, if anything really creeps you out or worries you, talk to your doc.

If you mean you can see a pulse when you look at your belly while your laying still... dont worry mine does that and im not pregnant so its just your pulse but probly because your body is getting bigger you probly just started to notice

Hi I had this both before and during my prgnancy-it is your aeortic valve, which is the main vein pumpimg blood from your heart. You are more aware of it because it's closer to the surface cos of your baby! Don't worry, hope all goes well.

My pulse did the same thing! Sometimes it seemed like my heart was going to pound out of my chest and also made my stomach move just like you described. It's just your body changing for the pregnancy so, don't worry about it. :)

mine does that too, u can feel it if u put ur hand there 2. its ur heartbeat not ur baby's. ur baby's hearts going alot faster than that, and it seems faster than a normal adult heartbeat cuz ur hearts beating faster 2.
