Pc help.....volume?

I have this black box that keeps popping up on my screen that says volume. It goes away on it's own after a couple seconds. It usually says Volume 100, but the last time it popped up I watched it go from 100 all the way down to 0. I didn't touch anything, but it was like someone was turning it down. It's really odd, and I've never seen it before today. What is it, and how do I get rid of it?

When I "crtl, alt, delete" it doesn't show up on windows task manager.

no tv card or audio card with remote

but something else funny happened today
my windows media player was playing all my music faster than normal.

sounds like malware. get some online scans. or look for it in search.

do you have a TV card or audio card with remote control installed on your pc ?
