My friend bought a pregnancy test that cost 1.00 and yup it was accurate. You can even buy a generic drug store brand like Rite Aid or Duane Reade. If you are pregnant there is no missing it, but you can get a blood test taken if your not sure.

No i have spent a lot of money on kits and brought the cheap ones. My last two children were positive ( so to speak with the kits from poundland) you got two kits for a quid !!!! What a bargain that was... Apparently they are similar to the hospital ones. If you are pregnant it will show. I doubt it will show before your are due anyway. They are the same but try again after you are due on then every 2/3 days if you do not have a period.

I used the Clearblue Digital one on a saturday and my period wasn't due until the following wednesday, and it managed to detect that I was pregnant. I was surprised that it was able to at that early stage, but they seem to be improving these things all the time. I got 2 tests from Semi-Chem for only £9.99.
Good Luck!

Although i dont believe you need to spend a fortune on pregnancy tests then i think a £1 kit prob isnt too reliable. It could be of course that you have tested too early. I buy Asda's own, two for about £5 and they are just as good as expensive ones. I have to say though if you think you are pregnant and you have experience of it before then you prob are. Good luck x

Surprisingly, cheap tests purchased at dollar stores or on the Internet are often more sensitive and reliable than expensive store brands. HPT's are like soda: very cheap to make, and marked up quite a bit for retail.

Apparently they are just as good as the more expensive tests, but it take a while for the hormone to show up, and really you are testing too early.
Wait a few days and try again.

maybe the test was too cheap. Buy a fact plus; EPT; or first response test. Those should be accurate. Good luck!

was looking myself today and from other peoples experiences and doctors point of view. I would buy the digital clear blue normal around 10 pounds from supermarket. Best of luck to you and fingers crossed.
