The 1996 Dickey Amendment prohibited the use of federal funds for research that would involve the destruction of human embryos. That was during the Clinton Administration.

Probably would have been discovered sooner if the only law W ever 'vetoed' would have been passed. I see a reversal of policy in the near future--good for us!!

i think they are feeding you exactly what you want to hear, so you people don't question were they got them from!

why else would they rehash old news, trying to pretend that all stem cells are the same?

Science is awesome. And for the record, stem cell research never in any way did any harm to any fetus or mother. They didn't use fetuses, they used embryos. There were never at any time in a uterus.

I'm all for it, but there was never any chance of damge to the mother or embryo before either.
