What you need is a device called a "router". The router will connect to your ADSL modem and manage the connection to your internet service provider. You can then hook up multiple computers to the router for internet access and the connection will not be affected by which computers are on.
The wires would look something like this
Phone jack ---> ADSL modem ---> router ---> cables to computers A and B
LinkSys (now owned by Cisco) is my favorite router manufacturer. You can buy a wired router with 4 ethernet jacks on the back for around $60. You can also get routers that have ethernet jacks and wireless support if you want to be able to roam you house wirelessly with a laptop.
Here is one such Linksys product: http://reviews.cnet.com/Linksys_WRT54GS_Wireless_G_broadband_router/4505-3319_7-30825185.html?tag=pop

The device you need is a Router. Simply set your modem to work when plugged into one of these things and you can then plug about 4-16 or so computers, gaming console's or whatever else you might need hooked up to the internet.
They vary in price (I think from around $75-$Ridiculous depending on the quality and quantity of computers you want to hook up) and can be found at any best buy or circuit city or whatever electronics place is near you. Some even provide wireless connections from your router to your computer but you'll need to purchase additional hardware (a wireless network card) to have your PC be compatible with those.
I currently use a D-Link Brand router with my Xbox360, Ps2, Laptop and desktop and it works wonderfully.

All you need is a wireless router and a wireless card for PC B. Plug the wireless router into your DSL modem, then plug PC A into the wireless router with an Ethernet cable and PC B will pick up the signal from the wireless router. Very easy to set up!! Just make sure PC B has an extra PCI slot for the wireless card that will need to be installed!
Another advantage to going wireless is that PC B can be anywhere in your house!!

You need to get a router with a switch embedded. That way you can have up to four (4) users access the internet without incident. Providing it's a 4 port switch.

If you are using Airtel Broadband for your internet connectivity, you can connect to many computers, by using a switch, at a lower cost.
If you are having any other service providers, you've to buy a router to make your PC B, run independently.

buy a router that is also a modem.
This way you can connect up to 4 pc's normally and if you choose a wireless one then unlimited pc's if they have wireless cards.
You also wont have to click dial every time you want to conenct aswell.
if works buy the phone line plugging in to your new router and then the pc's in to that.

You need a Router in order for this to work, don't use a hub or switch.
