He appeared on Regis and Kelly this morning and they announced that he is getting a star on Hollywood. He would like it next to Cary Grant. He went on to say that there just aren't stars like Cary Grant anymore. Well, I'm extremely confused!!! What did the Donald do to get himself a star? Did he BUY it????? I'm upset that he's getting one, he didn't earn it!!

All the stars are bought - they just have to have some merit, too. I guess his TV show made him think he deserved one and his money convinced those who bestow the stars he deserved one, too.
Actually, the stars are not purchased (although I'm sure someone there's politics involved) but the honoree has to pay for the upkeep.
I didn't think there was a 'Stinking Rich' category!

Because he bought the darn thing LOL. Don't you know when people got money they can buy anything: women, Stars on Hollywood, TV productions, buy a casino claim to be bankrupt and have us tax payers pay it off while he gets to keep it and make billions more than what he already has. OOOPPPPS did I just explain the Donald's life LOLOLOL.

Well, he *did* buy it, but his reasons are probably justifiable--the Hollywood Walk of Fame doesn't just dole out stars to performers, but to people behind the scenes as well. Trump's casinos, his involvement in the Miss USA pageant, and his reality show are probably enough "entertainment industry cred" to justify his eligibility for a star; his money and fame make up for the rest.

Donald Trump is rich and famous. And he's done TV shows. That means he qualifies just as much as any actor in Hollywood.
