What do you think about the book Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows? The title, plot etc. Any way did u know that harry potter and the deadly hallows came 1st in the most demanded books. Any way wat do u think the title is about.

I love the Harry potter movies and the books are very close in comparison. I didn't like the last movie though, so I am anticipating a better put together one when the new one comes out. Now with the title, I think its a bit overrated how everyone is abuzz on this title. I don't want to know anything about it and I look forward to seeing the movie.

I am very excited! I looked up Hallow in the online Webster dictionary. It means to make holy devoted or venerate. It's opposite is to desecrate.

When I ran the Microsoft Thesaurus is gave me consecrate or make holy.

Sounds like maybe it is referring to deatheaters or dementors. Possibly Jo is referring to the death eaters as a deadly cult.

It could also be referring to the Horcruxes. I think it makes sense that anything that hold a part of a soul (even ol' Voldy's) could be considered sacred. The fact that the Horcruxes could only be made by killing someone could be the reason for the "Deathly." We also know from HBP that destroying a Horcrux can be dangerous (remember Dumbledore's hand).

Also, James and Lily made their home in Godric’s Hollow, which is quite close to hallow. It would be poetic justice if Voldy died where he killed Harry’s parents.

Good title for a final book.
It is interesting because a White Hallow is a fictious plant in the Fantasy world. It is used for healing.

I think that harry will not die, remember this is a story about good (harry) and evil (Voldemort), and good must win.

I think that the vail will be important somehow.
I think Snape is a good guy.
I think that Harry will return shortly to Hogwart but then leave.
I think Ginny, Ron, or Hormione may die.
Victor Krum will make an appearence to fight by the other young wizards sides.
I think that Lupin had something with Lilly in school and will become Harry's Gardian per se.

And I could go on and on with theories.

I would say that it has something to do with Horocruxes. Hallows means to sanctify or to make holy. I think that in a way Voldy tried to make certain objects holy (or unholy actually since what he did was a perversion of life) and the objects and the way to get to them are deadly. So Voldy put the sanctity of his soul in these deadly objects. I could be stretching it a bit but i still stand by it having to do with Horocruxes and the journey to get and destroy them...afterall thats going to be the main plot point of the final book. With her though you never really know what the titles significance is going to be until you read the book. Most of the time peoples speculation about titles ends up being completely wrong. (But it still is fun to think about)
