This game is, quite simply, the best Fantasy MMORPG I have ever encountered. Having played during the entire 11 day Stress Test, I can honestly say it will probably be around even longer than EverQuest. This work of art has all the magic of EQ, without the many frustrations that finally caused me to give up on EQ (such as extreme grind, a very punitive death penalty, and being forced to group at high levels).
The graphics in WoW are awesome. Some people complain about the "cartoonish" colors, etc. I find these graphics to be very pleasing to the eye, and extremely well detailed and arranged. Guess this just shows that it isn't possible to please everyone, particularly those who go out of their way to find a flaw in other people's creations. To me, it is just right.
You have to pay every month to play online, ot buy a pre-paid card. Overall, the game is good and extremely addiciting!

Well, the premise for the game is there is a war between the Horde and the Alliance. A lot of people say that the Horde is the evil side and the Alliance is the good side, but I beg to differ. To my undead mage, I just want to life a peaceful existance. But those expansionist humans want to destroy the natural world and colonize everything! They'll ruin the entire ecosystem of Azeroth. And...they want to purge ME, just because I am undead! I don't even serve the Lich King, so why do they have to hate ME?! Heck, I'd help em fight the Lich King but then they'd stab me in the back, as they did to my kind in the past. Those humans are so evil! (LOL!)
Introduction aside, you get to choose to play as either Horde or Alliance. Each has 4 (5 with the Burning Crusade expansion) races to choose from. Alliance consists of Human, Dwarf, Gnome, and Night Elf (with Draenei...not sure on the spelling...as the BC race). Horde can play as Undead, Orc, Troll, and Tauren (Blood Elves are the BC race). There are several different types of servers: Normal, PVP, RP, and RPPVP. Each has its own set of rules regarding PVP (mainly). The game is friendly to both group or solo play, although you won't be able to solo the end-game instances/raids. But it is easy to solo from 1-60. Crafting is average...nothing spectacular, but it is okay. I like the questing...quests in series a lot of the time, and with good rewards. Also, you can find decent equipment just from killing regular mobs.
To be honest, it is the best of the MMORPGs out there that I have played. It has done nearly everything right. I have played Everquest 1 and 2, Star Wars Galaxies, Dark Age of Camelot, Horizons, Final Fantasy XI, and Saga of Ryzom. I am, however, looking forward to Vanguard coming out next month and Hero's Journey coming out in the Spring.

My dad's best friend is hooked on it. Every time we call him he is playing and he said that he can not get "unhooked" on it. i am just warning you everyone i know is hooked on it. My dad's friend lost his job over it. I guess you have to pay real money for weapons and stuff. My dad's friend payed over 100$ just for a gun!
