The colour most connected to India is saffron - which is similar to orange.
The flag of India has three colours, green for the Muslim population (the country has one of the highest population of Moslem's in the world).
White to depicts all other minorities, and arguably to keep the truce or peace between Moslem's and Hindus.
And Orange, or preferably Saffron, for the Hindu population.
It is the traditional colour of the sadhu, the wandering monk, or sannyasi who has renounced the world. Orange is very visible so it denotes someone who is different or stepped out from the material world. It may also denote spiritual devotion.
In colour system, orange is also said to signify shock, and if you have ever been to India you know what shock is.
However it is also very vibrant and alive - juicy!

As for China, well now it is very red of course. Communism is totalitarianism - even now with capitalism entering into the country they have managed to keep it a totalitarian system and suppression is a very red theme. Materialism is also red.
Originally the idea of communism is equality of survival for all - also a very red theme. Think of Mao's little red book.

By skin tone colour chinese yellow skinned and Indian tan.

However it is much more polite to say they are Asian, Chinese, Indian or American Indian.

Also other cultures have lighter and darker skin tones the same as whites and blacks depending on how much they have exposed their skin to the sun and wind.

I once asked some Chinese people what colour they were and their answer was "normal." I asked them what colour I was and they said "pink." They were right. I'm pink. So I guess, that means they're normal.
