No syrupy crap in the oil or coolant. Coolant is good and green. Engine runs warm at times. I NEVER let it totally overheat.

Had a mess under the hood when I did my hoses. I occasionally smell antifreeze inside the truck at times. I hope its just leftovers burning off. Windows fog up lately. No coolant in floor.

I thought heater core but someone said I probably blew a head gasket. If its that I am ******. I will never have the money to fix it.

OK. I panicked. I called the mechanic and asked if they pressure tested the cooling system when they fixed my hose mess. They did. Also they said they did a head gasket test and no worries.

If I have a heater core leak, its minimal and not affecting the pressure of the system. The warmness is warmer than I like, but supposedly normal for that truck.

Btw. What is a frog top engine?

If you had a blown head gasket or warped head, you would notice a milky color in your engines oil. You would also probably notice a whitish smoke comming from your exaust pipe which is your engines attempt to burn the coolant off. With your windows fogging up and the coolant smell, I would lean toward a bad heater core. I would suggest that you pressure test the system.

Look, if your oil is fine and you are not loosing coolant down the exterior edge of the intake or heads and the engine seems to be performing normal than I don't think you have this problem.I am sure you just smell the spilled antifreeze. It takes some time for that to go away.
The heater core could be leaking a little which will cause the cab to steam up.Take it to a mechanic and have him pressurize the cooling system. He will be able to tell if their is a leak and were it is by doing this.
Most mechanic shops charge a set fee for diagnosing the problem and then its up to you to have it fixed there or not.

There will be oil in the coolant or when you drain your oil it will have coolant in it. If you are smelling coolant inside the car then it is most likely the heater core or a connection to the heater core. Is there any coolant on the ground? Some vehicles have a tube that will drain the coolant OUTSIDE of the vehicle instead of letting it drain onto the floor

IT IS NOT THE HEAD GASKET>FOR SURE.

Don't say head gasket in front of your mechanic.

may be the heater coil or a hose to a heatercoil.

also check,in the firewall,if You put the clamps tight in those hoses to heater coil
no.Your engine is not frog top..

There's no such thing as a minor core leak. If it's leaking it's ready to go altogether. Don't risk losing the engine to save the trouble of replacing the core.

Wow...I'm suprized you got the "F" word thru the Yahoo answers filters.

If you have a blown head gasket, the radiator overflow resevior will bubble durring idle from the exhaust gasses entering the cooling system.

Suspicious... yet.... in case you weren't paying interest to the gauges ... And in case you weren't habitually checking the coolant point or something... perhaps you ignored it. nevertheless there would desire to be indications. Smoke, Milky oil... Oil on the ideal of the coolant. i could be tempted to have the vehicle towed to a distinctive save. A 2d opinion could set my strategies comfy... And if he replaced into mendacity approximately this i wouldn't in any respect communicate properly of him.
