1. movie theater. you're usually with a crew of people having fun, so it's not so miserable, you'll have great stories to tell later, you can watch movies, and you'll be everyones' best friend
2. if you know what field you want to get into, get a job at a company as some baseline something (gofer, office assistant, whatever) in a company that is in the same field you desire to be in (if you want to do medicine, be a candy stripper. if you want to do law, try to see if you can work as a gofer or something in a law firm. etc)

You may also look out for an option to work online to make extra cash in your spare time. The work need to be done is posting/answering a discussion and uploading any photo/image of your interest. For details visit
http://ommc.blogspot.com
I will publish few more genuine site in couple of weeks, where you can earn money. You may also write to me at talkofmoney@rediffmail.com (Note: When u are planning for a home based online work, be careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site.)

Always apply for the jobs you think are out of your league. There are many reasons for this:
-Less competition
-Higher pay
-Better skills to learn and put on a resume
I could have gone for the "easy" jobs at supermarkets or store, but I applied for a sporting goods sales job (at 16) and got it because no one was applying for it. It paid more and gave a better impression on my resume for other jobs.
Good luck and aim high.

Try your local supermarket or Wal-mart - I believe they hire as young as 16, depending on the labor laws in your state.
Good luck!!!
