i was almost 280 pounds (i'm 5'4) when i concieved my second child. i accomplished it only after using Femra to get pregnant. even though my pregnancy for the most part was uneventful, i would definatly sugest losing at least 10% of your body weight before concieving again. it puts a lot of strain on your baby and you as well. Also if you lose just 10 % of your body weight, your chances of concieving go up dramaticlly. Good luck!

The best thing to do for both you and baby would be to lose the weight first. Or just start your weight loss plan now and dont prevent pregnancy and just see what happens. Dont worry about the age difference. My kids are 9 and 11 and we are trying for #3. Thats a BIG age difference but I personally think its great. Do what you feel is right, if you lose the weight before you get pregnant, it will make the entire pregnancy better for you and it will be easier to lose the weight after baby too! I wish you the best of luck!

First of all, six months isn't long enough to start worrying, although there is such a thing as secondary infertility.
The reason some overweight women have trouble conceiving is because their hormones are messed up - evidenced by their not ovulating all of the time, or not at all, and them having irregular periods.
If you have irregular periods, you should go see your gynecologist and have some testing done. You would need to find out "why".
If that's not the problem, go see your doctor and get his advice on losing weight.
Don't worry about the age difference between the kids; that is not important.

I would keep trying to get pregnant...but diet & exercise too... I was about 40-45 lbs overweight durring my pregnancy & I believe that it was part of the reason I had to have a c-section. I was in labor for 18 hours & I pushed for 2. I think my body just wasn't strong enough. I also had to be tested twice for gestational diabetes... (Not fun!) Definatley try to lose weight ! Right now I am like 20-30 lbs. overweight & my son is 3.5 & I want to get pregnant ASAP but am giving myself 3 months to drop the wieght or as much of it as possible. You could probably drop the weight in like 4-6 months, it could take you that long to concieve anyway???!!! Okay, Good Luck!

Yes try and lose some weight. You and your family will all benefit from this. Your pregnancy will go soooooo much smoother if you are not overweight. Plus you will be in a routine when it come time to lose that baby weight post pregnancy. You want your pregnancy to be a happy peaceful experience( for you and baby). Sit and talk with your husband I'm sure he'll understand and whatever you decide Congrats babies are such a blessing!

I had gestational diabetes when i was pregnant and I wasn't over weight at all in fact I was at my perfect weight. My advice to you is always watch your weight before and after having a baby or preparing to have one. Always, watch your sugar intake.

I think you should continue to try, but also at the same time work on a healthy way to loose weight. NO diet pills ect. Modify your eating habits and get a gym membership. It can only help.
