Well, you should ask yourself a couple of questions.
1. How old is he? The older you are, the more you talk about those things. If he is young, he was probably really really nervous.
2. Can you do any better? You might be long in the tooth too girl. If you can't deal, dump him. He was trying to create intimacy by talking about something "personal." If he talks about something that turns you off for half the night, imagine what he would be like in bed!

OK, picture this...you are 50 years old, and your children and grandchildren are sitting around the table for Thanksgiving dinner, and are all burping to the songs on the radio, and are all having a contest to see who can f@rt the loudest?
You have a diagram on the refrigerator that has scores on it to show who has the record for the "loudest", "smelliest", "longest", "most lethal", etc... f@rt.
You are having a conversation about how little Jimmy's first word was "f@rt"...
Does he have a medical problem???
Does he have a fascination with bowel problems?
Is he interested in becoming a dietitian?
Is there some reason that he could be discussing this that would not be weird?
I could not see myself holding a conversation with this person, must less being seen in public with him...
Can you imagine introducing him to your parents?
Can you imaging introducing him to your friends?
Can you imagine their responses???

Oh whats the big deal everyone farts and burps and poops yet if someone talks about it people get all offended. Come on man! Beats talking about the weather in my opinion. You're probably not suited to each other... sounds like he's looking for a woman with a sense of humor which you seem to be lacking. If you do - start setting some boundaries about what you want and don't want - be clear, be firm. Repeat if necessary. Leave if he doesn't respect your boundaries.
The one thing not to do - let him be the one to decide what is appropriate in the relationship - because he obviously lacks the proper judgement or consideration of you to do so.
Its not your resposibility to change another person - but it is your responsibility to set boundaries of what you will and won't put up with - or to leave a situation that is not right for you.

Sounds like he needs to grow up. Poop & farts should not come into play until around 6 months or more.
It is a sign that he has nothing better to talk about. You decide if you want to stay with him or not.
