The bad blood started when the fat tuna LardCells left us in the middle of the night after the SB, which he ill prepared us for. Then he stole curtis martin away from us to the lowly jokes, who as usual amounted to the nothings that they are.
Then, in consistent fashion, he left the jokes behind for TV and now the cowboys.
To clear up some lies and mistruth by loser joke fans in here, Belichick isn't pissed so much that manweenie went to the jokes, but the way in which he did it. And then manweenie tampered with Branch, to create a bidding war when we were goint to offer him a competitive deal. Plus he took castoffs we didn't want which is ok, but the tampering with Branch when the Jokes had absolutely no busines or interest in picking up Branch is the inexcusable part. and for a reality check jokes fans, were taking you to court over this hanious incident and the charges will stick like the crap usually does to you pathetic losers!
That's where the bad blood started over the last ten years and there you have it. But Belichick got the last laugh as usual and the good guys won. He hugged him to shut up the NY biased media once and for all and to send a message that "everything's cool, so long as you know your place and that me and the pats are your daddy"!

There is an unwritten rule that Mangini broke. He went after a Patriots free-agent on the first day the player was a free agent. That is a no-no in Belichick's world. I really do not think he was that pissed because all in all it is a business and it's not like the player wanted to be traded to the Jets because Mangini went there and enticed him to go over. He was a free agent which should mean he can sign with any one.
I think the media needed to create something that wasn't there to create the hype of the game.

Mangini as you say used to be an assistant for belichick, and was hired for the jets job before the season was over for the Pats, supposedly Mangini made contact with Deion Branch during a period of the off season when coaches are not supposed to contact restricted free agents, Belicheck has resented mangini since but they seem to be getting over it a little more eaach time their teams meet
