How come we aren't continually losing points...?

You do lose points, but you have to keep in mind that when you choose a Best Answer for your own question you are awarded 3 points. So really, you're only losing 2 points per question asked.

You'll be in the negatives if you only ask questions. I've never asked a question yet. Haven't had anything come to mind yet. Since I'm only answering questions, I just keep gaining points.

YOu would lose points if you asked more than you answered. I have answered hundreds of questions, and never asked one.
