"Let he hath understanding count the number of the beast, for it is a human number, and the number is 666"
Revalations Ch. XIII V.18

6 angels+ 6 triangels+a hexagon=david's star.

Could the beast be sly enough to completly fool everybody all that time despite having its sign so clearly displayed?!
Think about it.

Coincidence: According to some Judaic sources, the Star/Shield of David signifies the number seven: that is, the six points plus the center. The earliest extant Jewish text to mention it is the Eshkol Ha-Kofer by a Karaite named Judah Hadassi, from the 12th century CE: "Seven names of angels precede the mezuzah: Michael, Gabriel, etc. ... Tetragrammaton protect you! And likewise the sign, called the 'Shield of David', is placed beside the name of each angel." The Star of David is a symbol of the King of ancient Israel. The number of the beast, on the other hand, is from Revelations, and deals (many believe) with the identity of the Antichrist (though some believe it is a numerological transliteration from Hebrew letters of the name of the Roman emperor Nero).

Let's face it! The beast is bullshit which originated from Babylonian writings. In fact, most of the Armageddon originated in Babylon. The 666 has nothing to do with the five star of David. It represents NERO emperor of Rome. Read any informative book about the way the story of the end of the world was invented, or rewritten from the Jewish and Babylonian writings and you will understand the superstitious 666.

The bible uses many numerical numbers to signify various things. Number 10 is perfection. Number 666 is a grossly imperfect number which signifies mark of the "wild beast". Revelation is a bit of a parallel with the book of Daniel which beast signified different world powers. The 666 signifies a political system in our time that wants to keep peace to replace what God can only accomplish for mankind which is "peace" and though they are trying to represent God.

interesting parallel. But that does not fix the context. Mostly likely 666 refers to something that has already come and gone. Perhaps like certain Roman Emperors during the late 1st century and early 2nd century.

Revelation is about overcoming the oppressive Roman Emperor Worship of the time.

6-6-6 has been studied by many scholars. It has been found by some to be fictitious and by others to be a symbol used to describe the government at the time. You really should do research on the bible to figure that one out for yourself.

The Jewish people do not believe in heaven and hell--it's when you're gone, you're gone. Therefore, those numbers would not be of relevance to people of Jewish heritage.
