If you're not registered for a bouncy seat, put that one your list. I thought it was silly since I had a swing, but oh, how wrong I was. The bouncy seat will be your favorite thing - you can put it in the bathroom to shower, put in on the floor next to the kitchen so you can get dishes done...
Also, put a good variety of stuff (and price ranges) on the list, but don't sweat it too much or "stock up". Nearly every parent (and baby) prefers different things: diapers, wipes, toys, etc. If you've got a carseat, a crib & changing table and an outfit to bring the little one home in, you're okay.
Borrow stuff (or visit a friend's house to try things out) and look on craigslist for great deals on gently used stuff. And DON"T register/buy many clothes/blankets. You'll get more 0-3 months onsies and blankets that you would need for quadruplets!

Nothing! The whole thing was new to me, so I didn't really know what to register for or anything. A friend helped me out, and I couldn't have asked for anything else! I got all the basics, and then some. The bigger things I registered for were a high chair, the stroller/carseat/carrier combo, crib bedding set, and a travel swing with music and toys. A playpen is another idea, I just bought a simple inexpensive one later on with gift money from my shower. I know some things that helped were things for later on, like bigger sizes of onesies and clothing, also toys and things like cups and dishes for toddler age.

A Diaper Cake. Seriously. A lot of thought and love goes into getting someone that. I have a side business making them now....but I think I am secretly creating gifts I wish I had gotten during my pregnancies.
They are cool!!! Tons of diapers arranged to look like a cake. Filled with all the goodies you don't usually get at the shower!!
Useful, beautiful, unique, and not your typical gift.

A bottle of Jack Daniels. Life as you know it will forever be altered. I'm just kidding, actually I'm not.
I agree, you can never have too many diapers. Also everyone buys newborn clothes. The kids are out of them so quickly. We would have registered for more 12-18 month clothing items instead.
Also, you can not live without a "bouncy seat" (cloth seat over a metal frame- sometimes vibrates). Trust me on this one. A bouncy seat and a baby mozart DVD can give mom the 30 minute sanity break that she deserves (even with newborns).
We are expecting our third child any day now.... good luck to you.

people are not unavoidably going to get you purely products that are on your registry, they are going to get you in spite of they experience like getting you. you will probable be procuring your very own furniture, till you have kinfolk or close pals who plan on providing you with that... and that they probable wont provide stuff like that to you on your babyshower. you are able to desire to additionally shop an eye fixed out for diaper and wipe deals and replenish on those. you probable gets diapers at your bathe, yet no longer almost adequate to diaper your infant by using potty coaching. i might wait till after the bathe and after kinfolk grants hand-me-downs to get something. you ought to get all varieties of issues, you do no longer desire to purchase something that somebody will later provide you.

a sick kit (tyl, motrin, gas x, etc...), electric breast pump, diapers (size 1), wipes. dr. brown's bottles (excellent), a lot more 3-6 clothes (better than 0-3 because they grow too fast.)
