all great ideas so far, but we want the center piece to be something one of the guests at each table can take home.

well obviously you dont want diaper cakes, lol--what good would they be for the guests?

you want something a non pregnant person can use--maybe some candy dishes from the dollar store filled with baby 'themed' candy or m&m's

if you have a dollar tree or any other everything 1.00 store, you can look around and find some nice ideas there

Although it would be expensive for 10 tables I would suggest a diaper cake, they are easy to make and you can still use them after wards. I just recently threw a baby shower and I went to a Dollar Mart store that had these really cute baby blu elephants that had a baby basket hanging off there trunks. They were so cute and very affordable. Or you could get a teddy bear and dress it up like a baby and hang a helium ballon from it. The diaper cakes are the best though. If you dont know how to make them, you can find the directions very easy on the net. Good Luck

I HAVE A GREAT AND ABSOLUTELY UNIQUE AND MEMORABLE IDEA!!!

Each table has a themed diaper cake.

Duckies
Puppies
Boats
Teddy Bears
Frogs
Safari
Trucks Trains and Planes
Farm (horses, sheep, cows)
Fishies
Moons and Stars
Noah's Ark (paired up animals like giraffes, horses, hippos, etc.)

Have each of the diaper cakes vary in diaper size in order to fit a variety of babies. Who couldn't use diapers??? (that has a baby, of course).

Each table has a 3-Tier Diaper cake....just diapers and decorated with ribbon and wooden animals and a plush topper that matches the theme!!

The gift table has a 5-Tier fully decked out diaper cake filled with goodies for the baby being celebrated at the shower!! This could be a centerpiece and the gift to momma!! (Have this one match the actual theme of the shower....or just be five varying shades of blue starting with royal blue at the bottom tier, gradually getting lighter all the way to baby blue at the top tier!!! Adorn the big one with white accents.....BEAUTIFUL!!)

I make diaper cakes, by the way!!!

((If you really wanted to do this....we could definately work on a discounted budget. The centerpieces for the tables would just be diapers, stuffed animals, wooden figures and ribbon.....and I could totally work with you if you got enough for each of the tables. If you got the big one for the gift table....the price on that would depend on how extravagant you wanted to get!!)) IF this appeals to you AT ALL....contact me via my website and I can work out a number with you. I really do think this would be a spectacular centerpiece idea and probably the most memorable decoration most guests will have ever seen!!!

For a big center piece check out a diaper cake. I had one at my shower, really pretty, but can be pricey. I didn't make it but a friend did, and she search the web for details. For a small centerpiece for multiple tables i think floating duckys(like the ones you put in bath tub) would be cute, buy some blue dye and color the water.

The cutest ceterpieces I saw were made out of baby onesies. They made the onesies stiff by placing them in this craft glue.. shaped them like they wanted them and let them dry so that they were stilff.. and then surround the stiff onesie with cheap baby bottles and pacifiers and other baby things for the centerpiece. I wish I had a picture to show you.. because it really looks different then trying to explain it. The onesie after drying looks like someone had worn it.. it wasnt flat and stiff. REALLY CUTE :)

I have seen centerpieces that are a baby cradle with a toy bear, a bottle and a diaper. I have also seen a bear holding a balloon saying "it's a boy".

get a inexpensive vases and put little blue and white rocks in them- that you can find in any store that sells baby shower items-
on top of the rocks put baby items in them for example-play baby shoes, rattle, diaper pins, toys and on top of that add a candle or a picture of babies.
