awkf is correct. You won't lose any information from your iPod if you reset it. That only happens if you have to restore it, which is a last-resort option.

No, if you refer reset on your ipod. It just reset your ipod to original state setting. Yes, if you restore your ipod software version from itunes.

Yes, but just as long as you don't reset your iTunes all your songs will still be in memory and you'll be able to put them back into you iPod.
