I bought my daughter an iPod for Xmas and her cat likes to chew on the earphones, especially the ear pieces. He has put a hole in one, but it still works just fine. Is there a way to only replace one ear piece or even just the little metal cover? or would it just be easier to buy new earphones?

Don't look at cheap, look at the BEST way to replace your earphones.

Apple's replacement ear buds are great quality, and they're not THAT expensive. If you're lucky you might have an Apple Store somewhere near you, so that you don't have to pay for shipping or anything.

But seriously, I think they're like $20 or something. Do yourself a favor and don't get thrifty when it comes to your ear buds.

is your ipod working?(does it play music?) If it does, there is not something incorrect with your ipod. you could attempt ebay or amazon for a pair of headphones and a usb connector. yet before everything attempt connecting your ipod to a various computing device to ascertain your connector is defective.
