In my opinion, the media has hyped him up too much. And i think its hurting him and not helping him.....People are getting sick of him because of all the press......That and his attitude....The media just needs to back off........There is nothing that extraspecial in his situation......He came off the bench and did what he was supposed to do....... its expected out of a fourth year QB.......Sure this is his first year starting but he has been in that system for 4 years........You expect a guy like that to come out and do well.......a better story is Jeff Garcia with the Eagles.... Or what Drew Brees did with the Saints....Or Chad Pennington coming back from his two surgeries to take the Jets to the playoffs...

Romo comes out of nowhere and plays a few great games. Good for him. The media over-hyped this guy and made him sound like he is so much better than what he actually is. It wouldn't be the first time. Earlier this season I was watching the Vikings and Bears in their first meeting way back in September. The commentators were all high on how great Rex Grossman is and how this Chicago team is better than the 1985 team, etc., all of which was BS. Romo is a decent quarterback, but he is no superstar yet and is still basically a rookie.

Romo is a good looking guy who gets a team some wins against some poor opponents. They needed a story and he is it. He is not pro bowl material yet and may never be.
Jessica Simpson is with John Mayer however Carrie Underwood was on the Cowboys side line when they lost to the Eagles. There may be something to that story.

Of course. Look at football today. If it wasn't for the substance abuse or the " Jacked Up " segment in the pregame show, what else would the media have to talk about ? How do you think worthless pig notalent whores like Paris Hilton get reknowned ? Same with football, the media leads everyone around by the ring in their nose from the time they were put in front of the TV at 6 months old until you die.
I blame A.D.D. on 20 minute show times.
On the other hand I think Romo has potential. He came out " ON FIRE " .The Cowboys need to get a supporting cast around him.
STEP 1 - LOSE T.O.
The Eagles thought he would be their savior. Look what happened, and afain look what happened when they got rid of him.
T.O. another Media Darling !

I agree that he's mediocre, but he's also the reason the Cowboys were not only in the playoffs, but had a chance to win at the end of the Seattle game.
Romo deserves credit for being man enough to accept repsonsibility for what happened Saturday night. I loathe the Cowboys, but I believe in giving credit where it is due.
We'll see what happens next year. Sometimes, a player can take the league by surprise one year, and level off dramatically the next.
Now, you want to talk about media hype? Let's talk about Brady Quinn. The media humps his leg 24/7, and he's earned his inflated stats from playing military academies.

I think Romo has the potenial to be a really good QB, I think the hype was bigger than the real thing, but after all I think most of the cowboys problems have been the O-line and passing coverage,
Oh yeah I forgot about the leading NFL drop leader too

a million-He performs for the Dallas Cowboys. 2-he will consistently be whilst in comparison with Staubach and Aikman with the aid of Cowboys followers, each who led the group to dissimilar super Bowl titles. 3-He became on the bench with Parcells for 2.5 years or maybe after Parcells left the group, Parcells warned Romo on "the trimmings of being a superstar QB". He has did not thoroughly comprehend them (i.g. relationship Jessica Simpson and going to Mexico until now the NYG playoff game). 4-He performs for the Dallas Cowboys. 5-Eli and Peyton have won rings; Tony has in no way won a playoff game (0-2) wherein the 1st playoff game he dropped the FG carry and interior the 2nd game, he performed poorly interior the 2nd a million/2.

Well all the great pressure of catching a snatch and putting a ball on the ground must have been too great for him..... give me break any of us can do that...... He is being used.... Carrie Underwood wants to sell more records, so she goes on the field and hugs Romo.... How many other players girlfriends were on the field??? None... But then again the NFL is a business and that's what they do.. Make money.

You are somewhat right. But I don't think the media is the one that hooked him up with Carrie. He did that by himself, and he's also using the media to be the hottest thing in the NFL.
If I were him, I will forget about clebrities, and the hype and win superbowls first. Brady does a great job of not letting the hype affect him, so I don't see why he can't do the same.

In all reality, what else do you the Cowboys have to be excited about? we haven't anything good from Dallas since the 90's... Romo is a nice boost, why not? his young, his was a nobody, his on a big market team, comes from a small town... He didn't live up to the hype, but the Cowboys won games.
