i have a 7 yr old busmate at school and for the first couple of months she was bullied by my other busmates. it was not really my concern and i didnt cared at all. but since i was the eldest and the only senior in the bus, our operator asked me a favor to protect the kid. sure thing i did till we became really really close. as in like I treated her like my real sister. i always treat her to her favorite food and stuff and i gave her really cool gifts last xmas. Coincedentally, ive been jogging(since last 2 yrs) in a certain route that passess by her house. i know her mom and maids see me, but i dont really care since i am just jogging. then one day going home, i decided to stop and sit across a bench to their house, i was really tired and need to rest. i think i sat there for about 40 mins. then got home. The next monday, her mother confronted me telling me to go away from her daughter. i asked what did i do to offend anybody and said i was stalking her. im really confused. HELP!

Doesn't sound to me like you are stalking but some people are very over protective. Keep in mind that they have every right to feel this way...its their little girl. You were just trying to be nice but you may have come off kind of creepy. In the future do not buy children food...do not sit in front of their house...doesn't matter how tired you are...its a little weird. AND stop trying to be friends with her she is a little girl & although she used to get bullied that is not your problem/responsibility nor should you try to hang out with her. EVER.

I dont know you, but from reading your story, it sounds to me, thinking from the child's parent's point of view, that you are a perv stalker.
Your intentions were good, and it seems like an unfortunate coincidence, so just stay away. You didnt do anything wrong per se, but it does kinda look bad.
Something similar happened to a friend of mine's son--a 12 yr old in the neighborhood developed a crush on him (he was 19) and wouldnt stop coming by, hanging out, bothering him when he was working on his car with his friends.
The next thing you know, he was arrested for molesting her. He didnt do anything, but she was so peeved by his refusal to associate with her, she made some horrible things up.
So just stay away, it'll be better for all of you.
And dont ride the bus anymore.

You are a little strange to sit on a bench for 40 mins just coincidentally across from her house but according to your story you are not a stalker.
If I was the mother I would have done the same thing.

First of all how old are you? You should not be hanging out with a 7 year old. That's why the mother is saying you are stalking her kid. You have no business buying her things. Stay away.

You are not a stalker but her mother thinks you are. Just to keep things cool you may want to cool off your relationship with the girl and try a different jogging route.

You're not a stalker. Tell her mother the EXACT thing you just said. Nothing more, nothing less. Surely, that will convince her.
Good luck!

you are not a stalker and need to get your parents into it if need be that could really hurt you later with people. Sit down and explain how it happened. You have no reason to be sorry and if i was you that women would have gotten a mouth full.

You're not stalking her. Think she's the one confused. Calmly explain to her you were tired and needed to rest.
