A very long time.
Some companies, including the one we use, offer a lifetime warranty to certain vendors, based on there standing with the company installing and selling the unit. Due to our relationship to our window manufacturer, we are also able to offer a lifetime warranty on the glass against breakage and defect.
Look around at the warranties. I can tell you from many years experience that the more important question is the warranty on dual pane glass units (I.G. or insulated glass unit). Separating the two panes is an inert gas (argon in most cases) or a vacuum. These are sealed from the factory to prevent a loss of vacuum or expulsion of the gas. If this seal is broken due to age or a puncture you will get a fogged window and if left, mold. Not good.
This just happens sometimes. I have used many manufacturers and it has happened to most of them on one or more occasions over the many years. Sometimes you just get an I.G. unit with a bad seal. Make sure the company covers the actual I.G. unit, not just the vinyl frame.
I have seen only a couple vinyl windows warp, only 1 was actually installed in a home, and I believe the installation and poor sealing of the unit was to blame. The other I have seen were stored outdoors, leaned against one another for 2 years. The multiple windows, with multiple pieces of glass created a magnification effect, creating too much heat and warping the windows.
Vinyl is a great material for windows, and fiberglass is not worth the extra cost, in my opinion.
Good luck to you,
