Why are people judged by the appearance?

True story:

There is a little cay (pronounced key) in the Bahamas called Harbour Island which has pink sand beaches and million dollar cottages.

Anyway BILL GATES walks into a realty office and asks for general prices and what not only to be told: "I don't think you can afford anything".

Why? Because the richest man on earth was wearing shorts, tshirt, and flip flops.

Needless to say he's not buying in harbour island. I wish I knew who this woman was so I could point and laugh at her!!!!

Its easy to judge flat out...I say view all with respect and caution.

because its natural to form some sort of opinion about a person based on his looks from past experience.
it isn't a good thing though. i once saw a program where a normal person, (played by scott bakula i guess it was Quantum Leap) was inside the body of a retarded person. and although he was behaving normallyb and offering intelligent ideas, ppl just thought he was retarded because of how he looked. sometimes i feel like that, ha

Its natural,its fast,its practical.We are brought up to assume.Our society as we know it cannot function any other way.We judge people by their homes,cars,children,wives,pets,friends.
