Living in apt. for three years and all of a sudden they are in the kitchen and bathroom. Notified landlord and insect control with spray and still come back after a period of time. I like where I live - location.

Get a pair of Geckos and set them free in your apartment and I guarantee you the little buggers will eat every single cockroach you have or are going to have.
A gecko is a small lizard with tiny suctions on their toes and they can chase the roaches up the wall if need be. These are cute little buggers and although it takes a wee bit of time to get used to them they work! If you have neighbours who are dirty then it doesn't matter if you bomb, spray, or invest in roach hotels they will return.
If you have a pair of Geckos it won't matter! The wee creatures will eat em up!
They are safe, and Eco friendly.Make for a great conversation when visitors come over.
I know this works. I know of a couple university guys back it the eighties who could not afford a decent place to live and what they could afford was ridden with roaches so much so; that the damn things were going albino with interbreeding.
They got a pair of geckos and within three months there wasn't a roach to found in the whole building! Never mind the one apartment they rented... the bloody lizards cleared the whole freaking building!!
They did it all with a pair of pets that they didn't even have to spend money on to feed.

You can try boric acid. You can usually find this substance at stores like Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. It is a dry, white powder. Leave a very fine powder trail all along the baseboards, edges of your rooms, under the sink, refrigerator, etc. What happens is the roaches will walk on the powder and carry it on their legs - they bring it back to the nest where it is distributed and it is my understanding that the acid will literally suck the moisture out of them, causing them to die by dehydration. Do not leave large powder "drifts" as the roaches will simply avoid them.

WARNING - do not use if you have pets - boric acid is also harmful to domestic animals.

However, if you live in an apartment building, unfortunately, they are going to be very hard to get rid of unless the landlord is committed to having the exterminators spray/poison the ENTIRE building. If your apartment is the only one that is treated, the roaches will simply move to another place in the building for a short time until the poison wears off, and then will come back. Ugh, I hate the nasty creatures.

Bomb the house with insect bombs and use cockroach dust in closets and around base of walls. They may be reinfecting your apartment from your neighbors. They lay their eggs and hatch out later so you may have to do this several times. See one, you have many. First sight, spray, spray in few days, for several weeks. Hard buggers to get rid of. Try different formulas as they adapt to some sprays.

I had them at one place too. I ran them down the disposal, flushed them down the toilet, and smashed them. Go th a pest control supply company and buy the stuff called Max Force. It works wonders. Just put little dots of it around cupboard doors and counter tops. They carry it back to the nest and eat it.

It sounds like you have a new neighbor, and that neighbor brought them in. Your landlord will have to get pest control in to spray all the apartments in your building.

Good Luck

It may actually be an issue with the neighbor that you share a wall with. If you have any contact with them, I'd ask if they're having the same problems. If he/she is living kind of filthy, then whenever they spray, the roaches are going to flee. Unfortunately, into your apartment.

Get roach Motels and put them in under the sink and behind the stove and refrigerator - also get roach baits and put them under the sofa and bed and in other cupboards-replace every 3-6 months (per package). No more roaches.

I recommened you buy some cockroach hotels. They are small black cubs that attract cockroaches to them, but when the coakcroach begins to eat what is inside them they die. They work well, especially when you put them in dark corners and such places.
