A TCG usually stands for Topps Gum Company. If there are stats listed on the back, it age is usually 1 year beyond the last years listed stats. Older cards don't list many stats . You can usually find the year by the style on the face of the card, comparing it to listings in a price guide.

BEFORE you sell or list it anywhere you MUST KNOW the actual value and decide how much you are willing to accept. Example : a card shop or dealer will usually offer between 10 and 15 % of the high list value. On a Mick maybe 20 % not much more. A private collector may offer up to 75 % depending on the grade ( what shape it's in ) of the card. Of course EVERYONE is out for a deal.
Do your homework, then decide if you want to sell or not.

Make sure it's not a reprint first. If it's a reprint it's worth less than $.25. Also it's good to see what kind of condition it's in (creases, cuts or if the card is off center, that's bad and greatly reduces the value). A lot of people sell cards on Ebay now. The card could range from $100 to $1000 depending on the condition.

Can you desricbe the front of the card. Is it red with a picture of him in the middle and a little Yankee's logo in the lower left hand corner?

If it is like this it is a 1959 Topps. Beckett prices it at 1,000$. Now condition is paramount on older cards like this, if it is in very nice condition I would guess you could get around 400-500$ or more for it with the better the conditon the better the price.

Very nice find.

As someone who deals in sportscards I am very offended at the statement that none of us can be trusted has she ever met me ? probably not I deal w/alot of older cards you just have to make sure it's not a reprint then it can be determined how much it's worth.

Well, considering that the Mick wasn't even born in 1931, I'd say, "Little value at best."
